Westlock’s Shellye Swingen has a friend to thank for her recent $100,000 scratch ticket windfall.
Swingen was given a $20 Mega Money Scratch n’ Win ticket by a friend and couldn’t believe her eyes when she scratched three identical $100,000 prize amounts in the same play area.
“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” she said. Even when I checked it on the self-checker at the store, I still could not believe it was true.”
The winning ticket was purchased at the downtown Medicine Bottle Rexall store.
Swingen said she is looking forward to the added financial security the win brings her.
