The St. Mary School Fundraising Society is another step closer to reaching its $300,000 fundraising goal to build a new playground following two significant donations.

While many spent last week shopping for chocolates or buying flowers for Valentine’s Day, a Westlock couple were preparing to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 24.

Westlock Bowl’s fifth annual Bowl for Cancer event came to a close Jan. 31, raising $15,168 for the Barrhead Community Cancer Centre.
