They say volunteering is its own reward, but about 80 of Westlock’s volunteers got a little something extra last Friday night.

It was apparent that Clyde’s volunteers of the year weren’t expecting to win any awards at the Ag 500 event last Saturday night.

For two Grade 10 students who had never been at the competition before, a gold and silver medal are impressive results from the Skills Canada Alberta regional competition.

Tanner Bohay is, in many ways, a typical nine-year-old boy. “Typically he’s a very happy boy,” his mother Jennifer Bohay said.
