WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed Sergio Castillo to a one-year contract as the veteran kicker looks to build on an outstanding 2023 CFL campaign.

SURREY, B.C. — Vernon Adams Jr. is clear about his and his team's focus: the Grey Cup. Adams signed a two-year extension with the B.C. Lions on Wednesday, affirming his status as the team’s top quarterback. "It's Grey Cup or bust.

It certainly would be fitting if Javon Leake broke the CFL single-season record for punt-return touchdowns in 2024. The CFL's top special-teams player last season signed a one-year deal with the Edmonton Elks as a free agent.

VANCOUVER — The B.C. Lions signed starting quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. to a contract extension Wednesday that will keep him with the CFL club through the 2026 season. Adams, 31, was slated to become a free agent following the 2024 campaign.

HAMILTON — Tim White is remaining with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Hamilton re-signed the veteran receiver to a two-year deal Tuesday. White became a free agent Feb. 13.

REGINA — After back-to-back disappointing seasons, Saskatchewan Roughriders general manager Jeremy O’Day knew changes had to be made when the CFL free agency period opened Tuesday.

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed American defensive linemen Dewayne Hendrix and Brandon Barlow to two-year contracts. The moves came Wednesday, the second day of CFL free agency. Hendrix and Barlow are both former Toronto Argonauts.
