BARRHEAD- The Barrhead RCMP hopes the public can help them locate a missing man.
Shawn Michael Prodaniuk was reported missing on Dec. 25. He was last seen on Dec. 23, leaving his residence at about 5 p.m.
An RCMP media release states that Prodaniuk left home wearing a black winter coat, grey jeans and black winter boots, leaving his vehicle behind. Police have made inquiries in the places he has frequented in the past, with no success.
The RCMP stated that while it is not uncommon for Prodaniuk to leave for extended periods, this amount of time without contact is out of character, there is a growing concern for his safety.
Prodaniuk is 45 years old with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is about 180 centimetres or 5’9” tall and weighs approximately 104 kilograms or 225 pounds.
Police are also asking Prodaniuk to contact his family or the nearest police service if he is safe.
Residents who live on the outskirts of town to check their property and outbuildings where he might have sought refuge from the cold.
