ATHABASCA - Athabasca RCMP are currently on scene of a two vehicle fatal collision that was reported on Jan. 14, 2022, at approximately 1:35 p.m. involving a passenger car and Semi- tractor trailer unit.
This collision is currently blocking north and south bound lanes of travel on Highway 2 at Township Road 634, near Perryvale, south of Athabasca.
Traffic is being diverted from both directions of travel. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes.
Traffic is expected to be impacted for several hours while the investigation and clean up is completed.
One fatality is reported; however, no further details are available at this time.
