WESTLOCK – It’s out of the frying pan and into the fire for Westlock residents after freezing rain caked the community in a thick layer of ice Jan 12-13.
To assist, the Town of Westlock has provided residents with free sand which is available at the public works shop at 9632-110A Street.
Buckets will not be provided and residents are asked to bring their own method of transporting it.
The weather is expected to continue to fluctuate with temperatures dropping to –6 C and rising to 1 C over the weekend before dropping back down to more seasonal temperatures.
