Things were a little evenly matched for the Athabasca Trappers Team 2 peewee softball action June 7.
They were in Westlock playing against the Wild's Team 1, where after five innings, played to a 22-all draw.
"We went with only eight players this game," said head coach Leanne Jewell. "Our girls really stepped it up and played well."
Jewell added the team continues to learn new skills every game.
"Every player had a hit," she said. "Our catchers had some great throw out plays to third base and second base respectively. It's always fun to see them trying new skills at each of our games."
Their next game is June 12 against Westlock Team 2 at Athabasca's Jewell Ball Park.
The Trappers Team 1 were also supposed to play June 7, but their opponents, Westlock Team 2, cancelled on them at the last minute. Their next scheduled game is also June 12, but they head over to Westlock to play against their Team 1.
