BESUYEN-JACOBSE, MARGARETHA MAARTJE
Margaretha Maartje Besuyen-Jacobse of Whitecourt, AB, formerly of Barrhead, AB. It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Margaretha Besuyen, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, Aunt and friend. She passed away at the Whitecourt Health Care Centre surrounded by her husband and family.
Margaretha is survived by her loving husband, Hendrik (Hank) Besuyen of 66 years; she will be greatly missed by her 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; Ena Besuyen (Phil Coward), children; Tracie Maure (Jacques), Spencer Coward (Nichole); Ella Moffat (Keith), Children; Jaimie Moffat (Bryce Taron), Tammy Ulrich (Clayton) Tanya McDonald (Chad); Julie Nickel (Mike Burns) Children; Greg Nickel (Katrina), David Nickel; Carla Harrison (Ron); children, Jessica Fauque (Trevor), Lyndsay Harrison; James Besuyen (Donna), children; Robin Smith (Sandra), Courtney Besuijen; Christine Pearce (Lindsay), son Devin Pearce (Andy). Margaretha is also survived by her brother, Jan Jacobse (Lia) of the Netherlands; two sisters-in-law, Eggie Besuijen and Jacomina Westrate (Willum); brother-in-law, Jacobus (Ko) Besuijen and many nieces and nephews also from the Netherlands and Canada.
Margaretha is predeceased by her parents, Pieter and Pieternella (Nellie) Jacobse; sister-in-law, Nellie Jacobse-Kristalijn also her in-laws, Jacobus and Jozina Besuijen of the Netherlands; Rob Ambrose (grandson-in-law) and one great-great-granddaughter.
Margaretha had a green thumb with plants and she missed her beloved fur babies, Duchess and Sasha! She looked forward to Sundays for Church and family gatherings. She enjoyed many trips to Hawaii with Hank and a few trips back to the Netherlands over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
