Ulrich (Bill) William Dewitz
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father Ulrich (Bill) William Dewitz who passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Barrhead Continuing Care Centre in Barrhead AB after a 5 year battle with Dementia. Bill was born near Warsaw, Poland on August 21, 1924 and passed away on November 25, 2022 in his 98th year.
He is survived by his family of 8 children: Linda Dewitz Edmonton AB, Anita Dewitz Grande Prairie AB, Gord (Colette) Dewitz Devon AB, Jacqueline Dewitz Barrhead AB, Ron (Diane) Dewitz Millet AB, Kelly Dewitz Spruce Grove AB, Lorne (Cherie) Dewitz Barrhead AB, Donald Dewitz Cardiff AB.
An adored Grandpa by his 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill is predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years Clara Anna Dewitz, his parents Emma and Edward, Brothers and their spouses Ian, Helmut (Eileen), Eric and Richard (Shirley). Sisters and their spouses Salma (Ralph) Edwards, Lucy (Jack) Hayes, Ida (Doug) Lowther.
Some of his many enjoyments besides spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was socializing at the Barrhead Legion and dancing with his wife Clara.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
