Betty Lou Edwards
February 19, 1940 - March 19, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Lou Edwards of Athabasca, Alberta, on March 19, 2024.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Jack, daughters Cheryl (David) Minns and Wendy (Dwayne) Johns. Her grandchildren Terrie (Mark) McLeod, Curtis (Gillian) Edwards, Laura (Jeff) Myers and Jason Minns. Great-grandchildren Jordon (Karlee) McLeod, Hunter McLeod, Phoenix and Desiree Edwards and Sarah, Joshua & Gracie Myers. Great-great-grandchildren Kyson & Jaida McLeod. Sisters Dorothy, Phyllis & Joan and brothers Melvin & Alfred. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was predeceased by her son Richard in 1990, sisters Maudie & Susie, and brothers Louis, Roy, George (Shorty), and Phillip.
At Betty's request, no service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Athabasca Extendicare Resident Council.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Extendicare (Athabasca) and to Dr. Adekunle Ogunnupe for all their care and support.
