On Saturday, September 17, Betty Engler of Barrhead, Alberta was ushered into the presence of Jesus at the age of 92 years.

When she was a teenager, Betty trained as a seamstress. She and Werner wed in 1950 and in 1952 they moved to West Germany. In 1963 they emigrated to Canada and joined Werner’s father on a farm in Freedom, Alberta. Without Betty, Werner would not have been able to farm successfully. Last month, Betty and Werner celebrated their 72nd anniversary. They are long-time members of Barrhead Alliance Church.
