Ms. Delcina MacKenzie Erickson
May 14, 1937 – February 11, 2024
Ms. Delcie went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on February 11, 2024 after a short battle with cancer at the age of 86 years old.
Ms. Delcie was born in St. Anne Jamaica. After arriving in Canada, she spent time in southern Alberta before settling on the hamlet of Vega Alberta where she and her husband, Henry Erickson worked as the Post Masters in the Vega Post Office. Ms. Delcie and Henry moved into Barrhead in the mid 1980’s, after Henrys passing, she lived by herself until she was hospitalized and remained there till her passing.
Ms. Delcie leaves to mourn her sister, Pamela of Florida, USA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, many loving friends and a loving church family.
Ms. Delcie is predeceased by her husband, Henry and her parents and many other family.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from the Church of God.
Interment will take place at 1:30 PM following the service at the Vega Community Cemetery.
Memorial Donations may be given to Vega Cemetery Society.
As special Thank you to the doctors, nurses and support staff of Barrhead Hospital for their exemplary care, they showed Ms. Delcie.
