Sisters; Leola (Gordon) Kennedy, Jean (Clarance) Bidne, brother Jim (Libby) Wallace.
Waiting for her in heaven; parents, Alfred and Jean Wallace, as well as her brother, David Wallace.
June was born on June 9, 1934, in Edmonton, AB. She was raised on the family farm at Pibroch. At 16, her desire to explore the world had her headed south to Montana, seeking a life of adventure. She spent many years moving between different states and Canada as well as traveling overseas. In 1990 she settled back in Westlock, becoming primary caregiver to her own mother until her passing in 2004.
June loved life and her family. She continued to travel, spending winters with her daughters in Washington and Texas. She loved flowers and gardening and playing games. She loved crafting and scrapbooking. She was also fond of her many bright and colorful hats, hardly ever leaving home without one!
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date per June's wishes. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bethel Bible camp. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Westlock Continuing Care Center for their excellent care of June. Also thank you to all who took the time to visit June the last few years.
Until we meet again, mom...
