JAMES BLAIR RICHARD HANNA
JUNE 23, 1962 – FEBRUARY 23, 2022
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our son, brother: James Blair Richard Hanna of Edmonton, Alberta. James grew up in Athabasca and attended Edwin Parr Composite High School. James was a Journeyman sheet metal worker with Local 8Sheet Metal Workers International. Also an active member of Narcotics Anonymous for the last 10 years; of which his family is very proud. James is remembered for his incredible sense of humour and ability to make people laugh, his tender heart, his kindness toward animals and children, his love of the beauty of nature and his creativity, his art and carving. He loved fishing, sky diving & spending time with friends, family and adventure. James traveled to Angola, Africa for work and then across Europe and the Arctic.
James will be lovingly and forever remembered by his father: George Hanna (Eileen Yowney), sister Kathy Norton, nephew Ryan and niece Kara. Sister, Susan Bandola (Peter) niece Sierra and nephew John. His fur companions PK and Bam Bam.
James was predeceased by his loving mother Frances Browning and dear great uncle Alex Lafferty.
A celebration of life will be held at Athabasca Missionary Church, March 12/22 at 11:00 am.
