KURIC, Elzbieta

Elzbieta was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed her time on the farm, raising animals and tending her large vegetable garden. She was
often in the company of her two grandchildren; Christina and Paul Kuric. She spoke of her children with pride and joy. Elzbieta was born in Rulewa, Poland, she came to Canada with her mother, Ryszarde, and siblings at the age of 12 years old to join their father, Richard. Elzbieta shared how difficult it was to come to a new country and learn a new language but fondly remembers the lifelong friends she made attending the local Neerlandia Community school.  Elzbieta married Michael Kuric Sr. in 1969. They have one son, Richard Louis Kuric who continues to farm the original homestead. Elzbieta fondly remembered many card games, community suppers, and celebrations in the Vega community. Elzbieta had many health struggles from a young age, although she struggled daily with Rheumatoid Arthritis and an autoimmune disease, she faithfully cared for her family and found peace and purpose in farm life.

Elzbieta is survived by her son, Richard, wife Erin, grandchildren; Christina, Paul, Jillian, Michael Kuric; Abreau and Mario Oka and Tiara Weber; her siblings; Garhart, Edward, Edith, Erika, Eric, Theresa, and Marian.

Elzbieta is predeceased by her parents, Richard and Erna Szmyt and husband of 42 years, Michael Kuric Sr. Rest in Peace Mom, you remain in our hearts
forever.

“God shall wipe all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.”
