LAUN, Leroy

With profound sadness, the family of Leroy Laun wishes to announce his passing away on the evening of August 27, 2020, at the age of 82 years.

Born and raised in the Sunniebend district, Leroy farmed his land on the Pembina River for most of his life. With his loving wife Carole, he raised his family of four children, played an active role in the Anglican Church family, and upon moving to Westlock became a regular fixture of the RC Club, the A&W coffee crowd, and whatever pool table was empty at the time.

He was predeceased by his wife Carole in 2003; his father and mother; and by his brother Bob.

He is survived by his children Christine (Scott), Susan (Ian), Jason (Kelly), and Justin; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his brother Harry Jackie) and sisters Anna Ken) and Mary (Calvin); and his dear companion Gwen Doherty.

A special thank-you is extended to the Westlock medical community for the capable and compassionate care provided over these many years. A small family memorial service will be held September 25, 2020, at 2:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or to the charity of the giver’s choice. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family by visiting westlockfuneralhome.com
