Jean Ann Luchka (Zilinski)

It is with sadness Jeans family announces her passing on March 20, 2024, at the age of 73.
She is survived by her sons Kevin (Julia), Trevor (Shannon), Travis (Amanda) and Jason and son in-law Tyler Klein; 13 Grandchildren Hailey, Amera, Gwen, Jax, Brady, Charlee, Kendra, Holly, Melissa, Olivia, Alanna, Josiah Micah; Her sister Louis (Al), in-laws Andrew, Ernie, Natalie, Maryann, Gloria; Many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Jean was born to Paul and Maggie Zilinski of Waugh Alberta on May 19, 1950, she was the baby of what would be 4 girls including Mary, Louis and Johanna. Two siblings were lost as infants.
Jean married Victor Luchka July 4, 1970, and moved to the farm at Vimy soon starting their own family of four sons and 1 daughter. Jean worked in the community of Westlock as well as on the farm. She was widowed in 1999 but with her children, continued living and working the farm.
Jean loved a celebration and the more food the better. Known best for all her cooking, especially traditional Ukrainian dishes.
Jean was predeceased by her parents Paul and Maggie Zilinski, her husband Victor Luchka, her daughter Corrin Luchka Klein, sisters Mary Hryniw and Johanna Boyce.
Donations gratefully accepted in Jean’s memory to the Westlock Victim Services, their kindness and support when Victor passed was not forgotten by Jean or her children.
Funeral service will be held Monday April 8, 2024, at 10:00 am at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Westlock AB.
