George Peters was born September 6, 1947 to Jake and Kathrine Peters in Altona Manitoba. George was the eldest of the three children. George and Helen were married on December 10, 1966 in St. Mary’s Cathedral Winnipeg. George and Helen lived in Edson, Swan Hills and Barrhead.
George is survived by his wife Helen of 58 years; children, Diane Gillis born 1967, and grandchildren Gabe (Kate), Celine, and Mathew (Cassey); 3 years later 1970, Lisa Euchuk (Tony) and grandchildren Joshewa (Cassie), Colton, Emily and great grandson Maxime; sisters, Selma Morrison and Erna Stevenson; numerous other family and many dear friends.
George is predeceased by his parents, Jake and Kathrine.
George served as an Auxiliary Constable with the RCMP for 8 years in Edson and Swan Hills. He also proud to be a Legion member for over 30 years in Edson, Fort Assiniboine and Barrhead.
As per his wishes there will be no funeral. A private family graveside service will be held at St. Annes cemetery at a later date.
