PROVENCAL, Gertrude
(1919 - 2020)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother Gertrude Provencal. Gertie passed away April 28th, 2020 one day after turning 101 years old.
She leaves to mourn her children 6 boys and 2 girls; Roland (Carroll), Irene (Claude) Huot, Maurice (Anne), Leo, Jeanne (George) St. Laurent, Paul (Doreen), Peter (Candace) and Rick (Yvette). She also leaves to mourn one sister, Sister Gabrielle Fortier; 27 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Gertie was predeceased by her husband Wilfrid (1999), daughter-in-law Judy (1988), and daughter-in-law Darlene (2011).
Gertie loved her music. She played the organ in church for over 70 years. She also loved her sports, loved to watch her children play hockey and baseball, and loved watching sports on T.V.
There will be no funeral at this time. A Celebration of Life for her will be held at a later date.
