Norman “Frank” Reid
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Norman Frank Reid on December 22, 2023.
Frank was born in Stouffville Ontario to Oliver Gordon & Laura Reid. He was the fifth of seven children. In 1959, he headed West for adventure but when he made it to Leduc his adventure stopped when he met the love of his life Darlene. Frank spent the majority of his working years in Swan Hills. In 2014, they moved to Barrhead where he resided until his passing.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Darlene, his daughter Judy (Michael) Szpreglewski, sons Darcy, Rodney and Terry (Connie) Reid; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Eilen Tobin, Donna (Bill) Besant and Dale (Dave) Reid-Traynor; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Oliver Gordon & Laura Reid, brother Gordon, sisters Marion Housser and Elly Sproxton.
Funeral was held on January 5, 2024 at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Barrhead.
