SERBU, JOHN ERNEST
On July 24, 2020, at the age of 84, John Ernest Serbu of Ft. Assiniboine, passed away at the Barrhead Healthcare Centre (hospital), after a brief battle with cancer. John or Johnny as he was known, was born November 3, 1935, he trucked and farmed in the Ft. Assiniboine area for many years.
Johnny leaves to mourn his sweetheart and partner for the past 46 years, Norma Marsh; and their children; Deb (Don) Breitkreitz, Donna (Rob) Svandrlik, Todd (Trudi) Marsh; 8 grandchildren; Randall (Jamie) Breitkreitz, Stephanie (Nathan) Larson, Rebecca (Conrad) Creber; Kristin Fenske, Jordyn Fenske; Andrew Marsh, Brandon (Halley) Marsh, Bryce Marsh; and his daughter Mandy (nee) Darlene Serbu. Johnny is survived by 6 great-grandchildren; Maddison, Carter and Hadlee Breitkreitz, London and Hayden Larson and Ryatt McLean and his sister, Delores (Norm) Lamereaux.
John is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Harry Serbu, as well as his brothers, Ron and Alan.
John was laid to rest on Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Topland Cemetery near Ft. Assiniboine. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Barrhead Healthcare Centre.
