Edith Spitzer
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edith Spitzer on January 9, 2024 at the age of 92 years. She was our dearly loved wife, mom, Granny, Great Grandmother (GiGi), sister, aunt & dear friend.
Edith Dorothy Carlin was born August 13, 1931 in Onoway, Alberta.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Perry (Corinne) Spitzer, Leonard (Jenny) Spitzer, Arlene (Clayton) Cassidy. Grandchildren; Nolan Spitzer (Fiona), Graham Spitzer (Helen), Sydney Spitzer, Kayla (Dennis) McEachern, Meagan (Mitchel) Erickson, Nathan (Rhonda) Spitzer, Brooke Cassidy & Rylee Cassidy. Gigi to Samuel, Ava & Mia McEachern, Cadence & Rilynn Erickson and Mayze Spitzer.
Edith is also survived by numerous extended family and close friends.
Edith is predeceased by her husband Gordon, her parents Emmanuel & Ivy Carlin, brothers Gordon, Walter and Harold. In-laws Arthur Spitzer, Margaret & Leon Liske, Norman & Grace Spitzer, and Harold & Joel Spitzer.
A memorial service for Edith will be held as St. John’s Lutheran Church at 1:00 pm January 22, 2024.
Donations may be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Mystery Lake, Alberta, or the Cross Cancer Institute.
