With heavy hearts,we announce the passing of Sylvia Tonsi, who
left us on September 21, 2024, at the age of 82.
Sylvia was from Stony Plain, and formerly Westlock and Nestow,
Alberta. Sylvia is survived, and will be missed, by her loving
children, Wayne (Karen) Tonsi, Debbie (Jeff) Barbutza, Doug (Marj)
Tonsi, Terry (Candace) Tonsi; grandchildren, Ashley (Nathan) Doran,
Kristin Tonsi (Calwyn), Alex (Janisa) Tonsi, Toni (Lindsey) Petteplace,
Caitlyn (Andrew) Turton, Ryan (Staci) Tonsi, Scott (Elizabeth) Tonsi,
Dustin (Jessica) Tonsi, Taylor (Marc) Daniels, Jordan (Kaitlynn)Tonsi,
Morgan Tonsi; great-grandchildren, Kiera and Easton, Axton and
Hallie, Everleigh and Zayne, Matthew and Luca, Maci and Millie,
Zoe and Lennox, Myer, and brothers, Dennis (Shirley) Stachniak,
Rick (Janet) Stachniak, sister-in-law, Dorothy Stachniak, and
brother-in-law, Ed Tanton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews,
and other relatives, and many friends. Sylvia was predeceased by
her loving husband, Chuck, of 55 years, father and mother Alex and
Anne Stachniak, brother, Ernie Stachniak; sisters, Vicky Tanton, and
Diane Stachniak.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the
Westlock Funeral Home. Interment followed at Naples RC Cemetery
with Fr. Aureus Manjares celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, donation are gratefully accepted directly to Heart
and Stroke Foundation.
