In Loving Memory of
Marie Irene Ward (nee Crick)
We are saddened to announce her passing on August 26th, 2020 in the Westlock Healthcare Centre at the age of 95 years. Marie was born in Boyle, AB on May 18th, 1925. She was one of twelve children born to Charles & Bessie Crick.
Marie was predeceased by her former husband Frank Ward in 1998, her parents Charles & Bessie Crick; brothers, Charlie, Ralph and Roy; sisters Viola, Velta, Irene, and Evelyn; her loving children Ralph, Laurene, and Dianne.
Lovingly remembered by her children, Frances, Jim, Linda, John, Joan, Jack (Sandy) and Jesse (Lauralee) and siblings, Earl (Kathleen), Eugene (Maxine), Ruth, and Donna (Wayne); Marie has too many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren to mention.
Our Mom was a pioneer woman who settled and built her home in Chisholm, Alberta for her family and friends to continually visit. She loved quilting, knitting slippers for everyone. Mom was a coat of many colors, she had so many talents and accomplishments. One of the things her children will always remember is how they would wake up to her country and western music blaring loudly as she started her day.
Due to COVID 19, a small family service will be held in Westlock. However, a Celebration of Life will be held in Marie’s Honor at a later date. Inurnment will be at the Beachmont Cemetery in Edmonton, Alberta on August 31st, 2020.
