At what point do you draw the line?

Dear Editor, As a taxpayer, homeowner and manager of a local business, I depend on the Town of Barrhead to pick up my garbage on the day it is supposed to be picked up (unless there is a holiday).

The Town of Barrhead knows about one employee who is not doing his job picking up the garbage at my business, as I have phoned them at least six times in the winter and three or four more times in the spring. I guess this employee feels if your garbage is not full enough or he just doesn't feel like picking it up that day, he won't. I have had to call in and speak to the shop supervisor about this many times but this employee continues to work driving and collecting garbage. I'm all for giving people a chance to do their job but I'm sorry, how hard is it to forget to pick up garbage on scheduled days? He has had numerous chances and I am sure I am not the only business/homeowner he has forgotten about and people have had to phone in.

In conclusion, I don't appreciate paying a garbage fee if the job is not being done. It's time to replace this employee.

Anyone who feels this way should contact the paper or the town as well and let them know.
