March 1 is almost here and so is the 50/50 lottery draw date.
According to Agrena Society president Shannon Carlson there are still plenty of tickets left, despite a recent pick-up in sales. Plenty of tickets, but not much time.
Of course, it isn’t easy asking people to dip into their pockets once again for a worthy cause.
Nevertheless, we should remind ourselves of the cause: helping to finance the new and long-awaited aquatic centre, which could well become a flagship building for the area. It is an exciting venture that will draw more visitors and encourage people to make this community their home.
So come on Barrhead. Let’s snap up the remaining tickets before 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
After all, it is in everyone’s interests that the fundraising campaign succeeds.
