Damage to Earth already beyond repair

Dear Editor,

Once again I commend Edward Goodliffe of Busby for his determined attempt to insight enlightenment to a docile populace. I fear your words fall on the ears of avarice. I would add my words in hope the baneful would awaken. If we look back through this last century to the environmental damage our esurient leaders have allowed to be unleashed upon Mother Earth, we see the equilibrium has already been breached. The earth is a finely tuned mechanism that brings forth life to us all, but even through the combining control of all her bio-spheres the damage inflicted is beyond recompensation. Our industrial cupidity has exceeded the symmetry of our purgative remedies. The damage done is already beyond repair and now strikes to the molecular core of our existence. Cancer is the by-product. With Russia’ 1980’s dumping of 19 retired nuclear ships into the sea, to the ticking time bomb of not two, but three Chernobyl reactors; from BP’s unprecedented Gulf oil disaster to the global holocaust of Fukushima, the earth’s tides have become a mephitic pestilence. Mankind’s purgation is now baptized within our genetic makeup. It is only a matter of time. When the earth’s interconnected biosphere mechanism becomes unbalanced a restructuring takes place. Many times, in the four and a half billion year age of the earth, these symbiotic biospheres have become unbalanced and the equilibrium between the biota and abiotic environment has altered. An alteration that does not support human life. Our industrial cupidity has now reached the level where we are consuming more energy than our social networks give back. The evidence of this abiotic restructuring is visible in the rapid depletion of the earths magnetic energy field. A control mechanism, which governs the climate and direction of the winds force. Already the tides of change swing towards an atmospheric alteration. When ocean life dwindles to a critical level the biota changes and then oxygen depletion in the atmosphere is the result. Remember when the dinosaurs lived there was thirty five percent more oxygen. Whether it takes generations to complete or becomes inexplicably quickened by a rapid pole reversal the results remain the same. The dinosaurs enjoyed millions of years of evolution, yet mankind abused the keys to Eden in less than 250,000 years. An experiment gone wrong.

Sincerely,

W. Krechuniak
