Dear Editor,
Farmers do not want the culture taken out of agriculture. Grassroots advocates are raising awareness that they simply would like the government to dialogue with them. Bill 6 has far reaching implications that the government would be well advised to take into consideration. Farmers realize that the legislation presented in Bill 6 may actually work itself out in ways that are not to be foreseen, due to the haste with which this Bill was passed. Positive outcomes may be reached through real dialogue, and that is why attack and smear tactics through the social media should be dissuaded.
