I think we do but at what cost? The 6 lane 25 metre lap pool is essential, that is only one more lane than we have now, a zero entry pool for children is very important and we all love our whirlpool. After that we are getting into the would be nice but is a current pool (moving water) worth that extra $3 million. Another thing that bothers me is why is the pool to be built in that hollow so far from the Arena when we have the land available, between the Arena and the large ball diamond. All that is needed is reconfiguration of the pool plans and a different entrance to the neglected ball diamond. That beautiful parking lot we have would be put to good use and then,we would not have to build another paved parking area over in the hollow.
The old pool is still viable but the time is coming soon when it will be too costly to repair. Please let our Council know your feelings.
