Dear Editor,
Vince’s Gym has been a significant part of my life for close to seven years. Vince’s came into my life while I was on a medical leave. Leanne, Vince’s wife was working the day I started. Not only did I feel welcome, Leanne had excellent advice regarding how to use each machine in regards to my health.Yes, Leanne went through the proper use of all the equipment with me. Since that day I have been using the gym faithfully five days a week. Vince and his staff have provided excellent service/support, always friendly, always available for advice and support. An unexpected bonus is the sense of community, the many friendships that have evolved through the gym. Everybody is welcome, age/physical shape/clothing choices. In fact, there is tremendous support built into the sense of community at the gym. Any gym member I have ever asked for advice/support has responded positively. I have attended Core exercises lead by Vince and have accessed the availability of a personal trainer through the gym, again I am completely satisfied with the services provided.
Those of us that are fortunate enough to call Barrhead home, county or town, need to realize how fortunate we are. Community support in the county is strong and alive, neighbours supporting one another. Small businesses such as Vince’s gym help create such a great sense of community. We are extremely fortunate to live in rural Alberta, let’s play nice, support each other, and keep it that way.
