Frigon family thankful for support

Dear Editor, We are not sure of the words to use, as “thank you” does not seem to be enough.

Dear Editor,

We are not sure of the words to use, as “thank you” does not seem to be enough.

We had very little time feeling scared and alone in our search for Vince, as his friends and many other people and families in the area and beyond were there in a heartbeat... you are all held dear in our hearts.

The leadership that the Klondike Trail Search and Rescue team put forth on the search was beyond expectation. Their efforts combined with the Barrhead RCMP and numerous other search and rescue groups kept the search co-ordinated and all of the teams and volunteers safe. Our gratitude graciously goes out to the search teams from Klondike Trail, Slave Lake, Parkland, Drayton Valley, Whitecourt, and Edmonton Regional, search volunteers, the Barrhead RCMP, the many people who have offered their condolences and kind words, sent cards and flowers, BMHA for their gifts, the ladies from Quilting From The Heart, the Barrhead Bethel Church ladies and many others who have delivered meals and baking to our family, the staff and students of Barrhead Composite High School... the memoriam of hearts made at Vince’s locker and in the library touched us deeply, the Town for allowing us to rent the Agrena for the funeral, the Agrena staff for setting everything up and everything else they did.

We also thank our extended families for everything they have done for us. You have all made an impact on our lives that we will never forget. We feel blessed to know that Vince has touched so many lives in this world, and we know that we are not mourning this tragedy alone; it is a loss for an abounding amount of people. This community’s strength, support and empathy throughout the past few weeks have amazed us and we are forever grateful.

We have decided that all monetary donations received thus far shall go to Klondike Trail Search and Rescue. If there are still others that would like to donate in Vince’s memory, please contact Klondike Trail or us.

Thank you all so much,

Faron, Misty, Cody, Corissa, Faith and Ashton
