Dear Editor,
As a reader of the Barrhead Leader, I would like to say that a person would be hard-pressed to find a better reporting team than what is at the newspaper now. Find some glue and affix them to the Leader, to the community of Barrhead . . . if only it were that simple! I sent one of the “off-the-record” pieces by Marcus Day to a former co-worker of mine in Calgary to show her how this guy can spin a story out of almost anything. Not to forget his vocabulary, the words just flow out of his head, endlessly. Never mind, I am envious.
And Kelly Brooks is no slouch, either . . . poetry, no less! Her photography is never boring, full of action.
If I may, I have a message for Mr. Day and it goes like this:
“What’s the madda you? Hey! you lookin’ so glum.” . . . I not only remember the song, I still have the recording. My taste in music might need explaining because I wasn’t exactly in my youth when I purchased said disc. Have to admit if that composition doesn’t put a smile on one’s face, nothing’ else will. Thanks!
