Dear Editor,
This letter is being written to acknowledge the achievement of Coach Rod Callihoo and the BCHS Volleyball Gryphons. On November 20-22 the Gryphons participated at 3A Boys Provincials at Ft. McMurray. They came within two points (21-19 in 3rd game) of bringing home Gold.
Although they settled for Silver, Coach Callihoo and the team received numerous accolades for their class and sportsmanship during the Tournament; both on and off the court (Coach Callihoo received one of only five individual sportsmanship awards).
The coaches and team would like to thank Pembina Hills School Committee, Administration and Staff of BCHS, their parents and families for their fantastic support and all fans during a terrific season, during which we won seven gold medals.
Team Members are: Nolan Tuininga, Quinn Meunier, Jace Callihoo, Bryan Fountain, Eli Nanninga, Nic Murrell, Max Vriend, Spencer Fisher, Cole Knudson, Jacob Deinum, Brayden Borle, Brett Caughlin, Nathan Schmidt and Dylan Moes. Coach - Rod Callihoo
If you know or run in to any of these athletes, give them (five) for a job well done. They are a credit to their community, school, parents, coaches and especially to themselves.
