It was with interest that I read the recent, “Town of Barrhead Newsletter” July - August 2013.” The Weed Control caught my attention. I am quite surprised the Town Administration and the Town Council would send this out; in view of the weed field in Town. I refer to the one from Bumper to Bumper North to Neighbourhood Inn along 49 St. and back to 43 St. and from Brookside to the Police Station. Quite a size area – can’t be missed, full of weeds.
At Brookside we have asked both the Town and Rose Country to cut the weeds. This is a problem that has been on going through many years. Nothing ever appears to happen. If the Town is serious, please be consistent with all land owners. Preaching and practice should go hand in hand. I have noticed the front few feet along 49 St. get cut around the signs, but that is all that is cut.
Please correct the situation. A frustrated Brookside resident.
