Dear Editor:
I was driving my Chev Silverado from Edmonton to Grande Prairie on the morning of September 7th when I stupidly ran out of gas on Highway 43 south of Onoway. I tried to flag down traffic, and after a couple of dozen vehicles passed me, a man drove by on his way to Edmonton, found the next exit, pulled a U-turn and came back to help.
He drove me to the nearest service station, filled up my gas can, drove me back to my truck, put the gas into the tank, and waited until my truck started before he went on his way.
Before he left I asked his name and he told me it was Mark Vriend from Barrhead. So I would like to thank him again, and express my gratitude towards such a good Samaritan. Your kindness was deeply appreciated.
