One day you will pay for your crimes

Dear Editor, I take pen in hand today to write a “letter to the editor,” something I have not done in many years.

Dear Editor,

I take pen in hand today to write a “letter to the editor,” something I have not done in many years.

What I would like to do, is post a reward notice: “substantial reward offered for information and the ears of the thieves that robbed me.” But, alas, I am told this is not politically correct. Too bad!

So, instead I will say how happy I was to have found an affordable property in Barrhead county to purchase. Even traipsing around in -200C with a wind chill, to view the property, I knew it would be a great fit.

The people I have met have been friendly, pleasant, and helpful, except the thieves.

The thieves broke into a locked Quonset hut on Hwy. 777. They took many tools, tools that I cannot replace as I am now on a disability income from a severe accident. Tools that will not be covered by insurance as I was, as yet, not in full time residence at the farm, still in the process of moving.

Apparently, B &E’s and thievery of other kinds is rampant in Barrhead county.

How unfortunate a beautiful area, with mostly nice friendly people has to be spoiled by scum.

Dear Scum: I hope your mother is proud of you. You are ignorant, useless, and worthless pieces of organic flotsam. One day you will be caught.

Maureen Johnston, Barrhead County

PS: the thieves left a gas tank, so if you are missing one, identify it, and I will be happy to return it.
