Dear Editor,
After losing our home to a fire three weeks ago we have been very fortunate to have so many supportive people around us. We just want to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to help us get our life back in order. This has been a scary and emotional experience but the love and support from family, friends, co-workers, staff members from all over Pembina Hills and members of our community has made it all a little easier. We really want to say a huge thanks to the students, staff and parents of Barrhead Elementary School for organizing a coin drive to help us out. It was amazing to hear the stories of how many kids couldn’t wait to help out our family. Thanks to Neerlandia and Dunstable schools as well whose students also came up with ways to help. And one more thank you to the Barrhead fire department for working hard to save our home. It really is heartwarming to see how caring and giving everyone in this community is.
