Dear Editor,

526 Cadet Squadron’s and the school’s partnership will continue as it has for the past 62 years.

The fee that was set in the past will continue with no change.

There will not be a requirement to move gym walls at Barrhead Elementary School because the squadron will be utilizing the Barrhead Composite High School east gym. This eliminates the additional cost of moving walls.

The $30 charge is the amount paid by BES to have the gym walls taken down and put back up. An individual trained in the procedure is hired by BES to complete the task. Training is required for safety purposes. The fee is charged for all groups who utilize the gym. The school also pays the fee when they require the walls be moved for their own use. If the walls do not have to be moved, there is no fee charged.

BES requires more classrooms starting in September, thus the squadron office will be moved to a non-class room near the west side of the school.

Community, please support your cadets squadron. We need more volunteers in general and more instructors as well. Every little bit helps.
