Reader believes government and courts have gone too far

Dear Editor,

On December 8th a letter to the editor was submitted to the Barrhead Leader referring to Bill 10 and was one of the most accurate and thought provoking articles I have read for a long time. As the writer said, “we have to take up the fight”. Take a good look at the people in power who have the ability to determine our country’s future. We have a Prime Minister who will not allow someone who has the courage to stand up and fight for the life of an unborn baby to be in his cabinet. That is hard to believe; he would rather take our tax dollars, against our will and pay a so called doctor (nothing less than a murderer) to kill innocent unborn children just to get votes. Now he is pushing hard to pass a bill to legalize euthanasia. Where will it stop? We have the Supreme Court of Canada that has made some of the most immoral and unreal decisions imaginable. Abortion, euthanasia, gay marriage, no prayers in schools, no mention of God anywhere, not even at Christmas. Talk about anti-Christian. Throughout all of the federal and provincial political campaigns I never heard one word from the candidates about perhaps stopping government funding of abortion, which would save the lives of thousands of future Canadians as well as millions of dollars. However, they readily threw their support behind the special interest groups.

Our country was built on the foundations of Christian principals and God’s laws. Our ancestors came here facing many trials and hardships. They built communities and a country rooted in the principals of God’s laws and commandments. Our country grew and prospered to become one of, if not the greatest countries in the world. Now look at where we are. We have neglected the founding principles which were the reason that Canada became a country that was envied by many other countries and peoples around the world.

Can you imagine how our military personnel must feel when our prime minister tells them that they have to abandon their allies in the fight against ISIS in Syria and cut and run for home. What a slap in the face that is for those who fought and died to keep us free.

I guess Mr. Trudeau figures that once he can legalize marijuana we can all just lay back and drift off to la la land and all our problems will just “Go away”. Doesn’t look too good to me.
