Reader concerned over tax hikes

Dear Editor,

Since when did the Premier’s office steal the all-encompassing dictator powers of the Roman Emperor? Constitutional challenges, lobbying and due process are now a thing of the past, in favour of lubricious indoctrinations. Campaign promises and platform mandates have become a shame, a con and a dupe to gain deceptive ultimate control. Instead of due process we are forced to atone to emotionally charged decree. Through complacency we have allowed the political process to be replaced by dictatorship and the unlawful practice of forced directorates. Is this open transparency?

Will the budget be balanced by years end as promised, No. Instead we are impugned with years of massive personal tax increases and drastic commodity tax hikes, (fuel and oil). Oil royalties and a devastating carbon tax will chase all foreign investors out of Alberta; while dismantling our electrical energy grid. How will we replace these coal fired generators? Perhaps another lubricous indoctrination of nuclear power that the good people of Peace River finally said no to! Why the rush and why us, when the big polluters like America, China and Russia don’t have to do anything. These instituted changes are not thought out polices, but emotionally charged reactions that will ultimately cost billions of dollars to implement. With no oil patch or foreign investors you will be forced to strip this money from the backs of hard working Albertans. Those same hard working Albertans that are clearly saying No to Bill 6, another highly emotional reaction or was this another hidden agenda you had up your sleeve. You come from a labour background and are well acquainted with WCB policies. Could it be because there is no strength to the opposition to implement a vote of non confidence. The skulduggery imposed by this NDP party is beyond any trickery I have ever seen and had the truth been known before the election the results would have been decidedly different. How very underhanded and slippery.
