Following is a letter that I have sent to Premier Notley. In this letter are serious issues for all your readers to take into consideration…

Dear Premier Notley,

You have stated that Mr. Kenney has created the UPC Party, made up of extremists. I challenge you on that. Over the past years we have experienced extremism in the likes of Timothy McVey and organizations such as ISIS; people who employ terrorism to perpetrate evil upon other people. Now you, the Premier of our province has lumped thousands of Albertans into this category.

I am a Christian. As a Christian I believe that the social engineering that and your government is pushing, is very wrong because it is harmful to people. Homosexuality, transgenderism and abortion are wrong, and it harms the very people who practice it.

You and the so-called “progressives” seem to think that it is possible to change a man into a woman or a woman into a man. You claim it is science, but it’s not. Science clearly shows the separation of men and women by means of DNA, and the reality is that it just is not possible to change from one gender to another. All of this is simple pretension and in doing this the “progressives” are actually hurting the very people they say they’re helping.

Governments of Canada have involved themselves in these kinds of social engineering in the past, and have had to apologize later at the cost of the Canadian taxpayers. Think of the sterilization programs that were perpetrated on some Canadian people.

With new laws that go against  the Canadian charter of Rights and freedoms the government of Alberta is imposing this social engineering on the people. Let’s look at how:

  • Bill 10 forces GSAs on every single school in Alberta. Your government, Ms Notley is attempting to force your opinions about homosexuality on every one, whether Muslim, Jew, Christian or other. Whether our consciences allow it, or not, doesn’t matter to you. This government respects no one with views other than their own.
  • Bill 24 removes parental rights by forcing schools to keep secrets from parents. This is done under the guise that GSAs save lives. The pretense is that there are so many children and young people out there are in incredible danger when their parents find out that they are struggling with their sexuality. Doing this, the government vilifies the parents, making them seem to be the enemies of their children. It’s time for the parents in Canada to wake up and refuse to let the governments take control of their families. Parents, not government, are best capable of raising the caring for their children.
  • Now Ms Notley, your government is working to impose bubble zones around abortion clinics, where innocent, unborn children are murdered. Why? We are told it’s because of the terrible harassment pro-life protestors are perpetrating on women. If this is so, why is that not documented? If there has been so much harassment and mistreatment of people, where have the police been? Perhaps it just hasn’t been happening? This is another pretension in order to reduce freedom of speech.
  • Mr. Trudeau has decided to marginalize your people who do not agree with abortion by refusing federal funding for summer programs. So it is that Mr. Trudeau forces and imposes his views on Canadians. “You better believe what I believe, or you’re going to be punished”.

All of this sounds rather totalitarian, doesn’t it? The governments we have in place in Alberta and Canada right now, are so narrow minded that they want to impose their views and their wills on everyone. “Do what we want and think like we think, if you don’t we will punish you.” “Do what we say and applaud what we like, or you are bigots, extremists and homophobes.”

Name calling is what the “progressives” do. Rather than calling us extremists, bigots a d homophobes, why not enter into intelligent and respectful debate and discussion about the issues and problems Albertans face? Let’s intelligently discuss the STD rates our young people are enduring and try to help them in a real way. And instead of name calling, let’s intelligently discuss the abortion issue to see how we can help single mothers and prevent unwanted pregnancies, rather than hiding the statistics on how many unborn babies are killed in this nation every year.

Also you, as the Premier of our province, have participated in this name calling rather than entering into serious discussion on how troubled people can be helped. In doing this, you have marginalized thousands of us and told the world that we are a problem to society.

I am a Christian, Ms Notley. I’m not an extremists. I am also not a bigot, or homophobe. I have known, and still know and regularly see people who are homosexuals. I am always friendly to them, and speak to  them with kindness and dignity. I don’t force my views on them, as you are forcing your views on me.

My family and I have immigrated to Canada in the 1950’s and we have worked hard to contribute to this nation. Our children work, run businesses, pay their fair share of taxes and are raising kind, respectful children. We have taught our children to respect others, also to respect our government leaders. Among others, thousands of Christians have come to Canada and helped build this magnificent nation and now you call us “extremists”.

As an Albertan and a Canadian, I am asking you and your government to return respect to your citizens. Respect our religious freedom. Respect our freedom of conscience. Please be big enough to respect the fact that we have differences and don’t try to impose your views on the people of this province. Many people have come to Canada to get away from regimes because they valued freedom and human rights.

A truly progressive government doesn’t work to force its ideals on the people it’s governing, but it works to ensure everyone’s freedom and it works to develop respect amongst its people. Forcing your ideas on others as your government is doing is extreme, Ms Notley.

By the way, if you read this letter (which I seriously doubt you will) and decide to stop social engineering, and begin focusing on the things you should be; Highway 33 sure needs your attention.
