Dear Editor,
Re: MLA Glenn van Dijken
This is a response to your public comment that the NDP, are in your professional point of view, a government that has run out of ideas. Perhaps we should remind the readers of this paper, that you represent the UPC party, which are none other than those same old PC party members redressed in Wildrose cloths’ hiding behind masks. This is the party that ran amuck with public funds with their own fleet of planes. When they lost the last landslide election they shredded those flight logs so as to not get caught? Care to comment on what else went through those (illegal) shredders? It was your party that in their heady days threw away the billions of dollars stored in the heritage fund. They released the foreign oil companies from their reclamation responsibilities, passing the multi-billion dollar expense on to the unsuspecting public. Who put us in the position where oil price differential caused us to get into the rail business? After four decades of abuse you just lay low for a few years then blame all the hardship on the other party. How will the PC’s get the oil workers back to work? The other party came with a good reputation for defending provincial employees against WCB refusals, of which I am well acquainted. When her party got in, of course she went about setting straight the personnel injustices the PC had installed. I write this report least we forget just exactly what the PC’s left behind. If there is to be an early election I hope these readers remember how the little guy got kicked around.
