Rotary Dinner a big success

The Athabasca Rotary Club held their 2012 Sportsman's Diner on Friday and the event was a huge success, largely in part to the almost 500 community members who came out to support the cause.

The event would not have been as much of a success without the community coming together and standing behind the service club.

The evening helped to raise approximately $85,000 for the charitable Rotary Athabasca Youth Development Association, which puts the funds raised right back into the community.

The evening was made even more of a success because of the enthusiasm and participation during the interactive talk by guest speakers speakers Debbie Muir and Mark Tewksbury.

The audience laughed and listened to what the speakers had to say and by the end of the evening, everyone walked away with smiles on their faces, knowing that they enjoyed themselves and helped to support the community in a big way.
