Slave Lake residents thankful for support

Dear Editor, To the residents and businesses of the Barrhead community, we would like to send out our heart-felt thank you. In these difficult times, we are overwhelmed with emotion from your generosity.

Dear Editor,

To the residents and businesses of the Barrhead community, we would like to send out our heart-felt thank you.

In these difficult times, we are overwhelmed with emotion from your generosity. We are three families that were graciously put up by friends here in Barrhead. The Fraedrich family not only put us up, but provided camping trailers not only their own but also from relatives, for us to stay in.

A stream of baking, food, clothes and other necessities have been coming in from friends, family, neighbours and the local food bank.

We are proud to call ourselves Albertans and Barrhead is one of the finest examples of community this province has to offer.

From all of us from Slave Lake and area, we want to say thank you. Special thanks to Andy, Ang, Emerson and all your friends and family, also your local food bank, businesses and the citizens of Barrhead.

Ric McLaren, Slave Lake
