Dear Editor,
As a public, I recommend you become very informed on the agenda of our current government. Are you aware that June 2013, they are removing 4.65 FTE Medical Laboratory Technologists and 0.5 FTE Medical Laboratory Assistant positions from Westlock and sending the work to DynaLIFEdx Laboratories in Edmonton. Are you aware that DynaLIFEdx is a private-for profit business?? Are you going to stand by while this government kills rural Alberta??
We have seen hospital and nursing home food services go to Sysco Foods in Edmonton. We are seeing rural independent Pharmacy take a huge hit, likely forcing closures in small towns. And now this? Stay informed, ask questions, speak to your elected officials otherwise small town Alberta WILL cease to exist.
