Dear Editor,
Our family of four moved into the Barrhead area two and a half years ago. We moved here to be closer to family and to escape the fast pace of a more populated area. We have enjoyed the small town atmosphere and all of the things that make Barrhead the community that it is, but it wasn’t until recently that we fully understood what a blessing it has been to be a part of this community. Two months ago our oldest son was diagnosed with cancer and as we struggled to absorb everything that had been put in front of us, our family, friends and the citizens of Barrhead stepped forward to help. We have received meals, resources, gifts, financial support ... the list goes on and on. The medical support the Cancer Centre offered us is one of a kind, the school support has been overwhelming and above all the support from family, friends and complete strangers has touched our family. We want to thank Barrhead for helping us over this “bump in our road” and look forward to paying it forward in the years to come. As we move into the holiday season, we hope that everyone feels as thankful and blessed as we do, to be part of such a giving and supportive community. Best wishes to all this Christmas season. Sincerely,
Mark, Trisha, Colton and Wyatt Enman
