Dear Editor,
I would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you” to the electors of the Town of Barrhead who stepped up to help gather signatures on the petition to revisit the expenditure for the building of a swimming pool in the Town of Barrhead.
It is gratifying to see our electors exercising their democratic right to question the Town’s decision on expenditures.
The petition is now in the hands of the Chief Administrative Officer of the Town of Barrhead for his perusal. A response to the petition will be forthcoming.
Once again, thank you to the 15 people who helped gather signatures and the 511 people who signed the petition.
