The Barrhead Art Club hosted the Alberta Community Art Clubs Association (ACACA) Northern Zone show on May 1, 2 and 3 at the Barrhead Seniors Drop In Centre. A total of 100 original paintings, digital art and sculpture were displayed with 10 awards presented. Forty-nine paintings, one digital art piece and one sculpture will be re-juried at the Provincial venue in Red Deer. The Barrhead community was exceptional in supporting this event – restaurants displayed table tent advertising, businesses displayed posters and digital advertising, free plants were provided, the Barrhead Leader provided free community announcements, the Town and County of Barrhead posted info on their websites, people attended the events and volunteers organized the event and were available during the weekend. Thank you all for your contributions.
