Dear Editor,
I am writing in regards to my August dentist appointment, repair of my broken tooth. The repair was successful and I am thankful. When I went to pay the bill I had questions, my bill came to $330 – $65 of this was for an exam I had not requested and was not informed of. I was told that since I had not been to see the dentist for four years this fee was automatic. I do not feel this was a justified expense as I was not informed when the appointment was made. This fee in my opinion is unjust and is like a user fee money grab without customers knowing about it.
If we the customers do not start questioning additional not to agreed to fees we maybe could see this.
A customer who has not had his vehicle to the mechanic for a while gets charged for an unrequested inspection plus the repair.
